His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Omani Interior Minister Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strength of the enduring strategic partnership between Bahrain and Oman, supported by His Majesty King Hamad, and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed the depth of the historic relations between Bahrain and Oman, emphasising the importance of strengthening the bilateral partnership to achieve shared aspirations.
Minister Al Busaidi conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Sultan Haitham to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing continued progress and prosperity for the kingdom. In return, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his greetings and best wishes to Sultan Haitham and the people of Oman.
HRH Prince Salman commended the progress of Oman’s development under the leadership of Sultan Haitham, affirming Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening bilateral co-operation, particularly in security, to achieve shared aspirations.
Issues of common interest and latest regional and international developments were discussed.
Minister Al Busaidi expressed his appreciation for HRH Prince Salman’s unwavering commitment to further strengthening Bahrain-Oman relations for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.
Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
