A TOTAL of 110 blood units from 144 donors were collected during the 16th edition of the Imam Hassan Blood Donation Campaign.
The charitable societies of the western region organised the event under the slogan ‘The Spring of Life’.
It was held with the support of the Northern Governorate and the Jaffari Endowments Directorate, in community partnership with the Health Ministry’s Blood Bank, and the backing of MPs Hanan Fardan and Ali Al Dossary.
The initiative was also organised in collaboration with the Karzakan Youth Centre, the Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Anaemia Patients Care, Al Amal Hospital and Al Nakheel Medical Centre.
Organisers praised the strong co-operation between charitable organisations and official institutions, emphasising that such efforts reflect the spirit of teamwork, social solidarity and the culture of giving deeply rooted in Bahraini society.
They highlighted that the campaign embodies national humanitarian values and reinforces Bahrain’s commitment to supporting health services and saving lives through voluntary blood donation.
