His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet highlighted the importance of the talks held by His Majesty King Hamad with Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Malaysia, during his state visit to Bahrain.
The Cabinet noted that the outcomes of the visit have deepened bilateral ties and reflect the two countries shared commitment to further strengthening their partnership across various fields to achieve mutual development goals.
The Cabinet commended the inauguration of the King Hamad Forum for Justice. HRH Prince Salman attended the opening ceremony of the forum on behalf of His Majesty.
The Cabinet highlighted the distinguished group of judges, government officials, international legal experts and commercial practitioners who explored the impact of new international courts on trade and investment, innovations in cross-border dispute resolution and Bahrain’s vision to become regional hub for commercial justice and global legal collaboration.
The Cabinet underscored the significance of the outcomes of the third edition of the Arab International Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition (AICS 2025), held under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander and Supreme Defence Council secretary general Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, inaugurated the event on his behalf.
Shaikh Nasser reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to support efforts that strengthen international cybersecurity co-operation.
The Cabinet then expressed its gratitude to all authorities whose efforts ensured the success of the Royal Bahrain Concours, particularly the Interior Ministry and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
The Cabinet noted the event’s broad participation and strong public engagement, underscoring Bahrain’s prominent international status in motorsport.
The session also thanked the Interior Ministry, the Bahrain International Circuit and all those involved in the success of the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, part of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship.
Ministers highlighted the inauguration of the second phase of The Avenues – Bahrain expansion project, marking a significant enhancement in the mall’s scale and variety, and reinforcing its status as a premier shopping and entertainment destination.
The Cabinet then approved the following memorandums:
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for legal and legislative affairs regarding a draft law approving the accession of Bahrain to the Locarno Agreement on the establishment of an International Classification for Industrial Designs.
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for legal and legislative affairs regarding a draft general agreement to link the GCC countries with the GCC Rail Project.
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for legal and legislative affairs regarding an Agreement to Facilitate the Movement of Maritime Vessels Designated for Recreational Purposes between the GCC States.
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for legal and legislative affairs regarding a memorandum of understanding between the Higher Education Council and QS Quacquarelli Symonds in the United Kingdom.
The Cabinet then noted the following ministerial reports:
* The outcomes of the kingdom’s participation in the Fifth Bahrain–India High Joint Commission Meeting.
* The outcomes of the kingdom’s participation in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025).
* The outcomes of the kingdom’s participation in the World Leaders Climate Action Summit during the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30).
* The outcomes of the first Bahrain International Public Health Conference.
