In a move poised to equip finance professionals for the next era of global business, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)-Bahrain Chapter is gearing up to host its 17th Annual Flagship Conference over the coming weekend.
The two-day summit next Friday and Saturday, to be held at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention and Spa, has secured the timely and critical theme, ‘Future Ready,’ aiming to empower chartered accountants to thrive in a rapidly evolving ecosystem where finance intersects with technology, ethics demand excellence, and the future hinges on prepared leadership.
Under the leadership of ICAI-Bahrain Chapter chairman Vinit Maroo, the event is set to convene global leaders, industry experts, and high-profile professionals, promising a transformative experience for attendees. The inaugural session is expected to draw a distinguished roster of dignitaries, including Indian Ambassador Vinod Jacob, KPMG managing partner Jamal Fakhro, Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association chairman Abbas Al Radhi, and well-known Indian investor Ramesh Damani. This announcement was made during a Press conference at the Gulf Hotel.
The conference programme is strategically structured around five essential pillars reflecting the core competencies required of a modern chartered accountant. These include ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI)’, which will explore its integration and impact on auditing and strategic financial planning; the ‘Digital Economy and Fintech’, discussing innovations like blockchain and digital payments; ‘Macro Economy’, which will provide a deep-dive analysis into regional and global economic trends; ‘Leadership’, addressing the evolution of professional conduct, ethical governance, and the role of the modern CFO; and finally, ‘Future Readiness’, which will synthesise these elements for long-term professional sustainability.
