Expansion and development of the Kuwait Health Centre in Karzakan are progressing at a fast pace, with 88 per cent of the work completed.
Works Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa revealed the progress of work during his visit to the facility yesterday.
He was accompanied by Primary Healthcare Centres chief executive Dr Ijlal Al Alawi and several ministry engineers.
“The project is progressing according to the approved schedule,” Shaikh Mishaal confirmed.
“Part of the existing building is being renovated while another two-storey building is being constructed. The ground floor will house administrative offices, a meeting room and consultants’ offices, while the first floor will include a dental clinic and related services.
“Green building standards and specifications have also been adopted in line with the policy of rationalising energy consumption to preserve the environment and promote the sustainability of natural resources.”
Dr Al Alawi stressed the importance of strengthening infrastructure and expanding the range of healthcare services.
“This project is part of a comprehensive plan to develop health centres and improve patient experience, enhance operational efficiency and provide an integrated treatment environment that meets the needs of citizens and residents,” she added.
