A field visit to check on the progress of a BD25 million main sewage transmission line work along the Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway was conducted by Works Minister Ibrahim Al Hawaj.
He said that the project aimed to develop infrastructure and establish an advanced wastewater network in accordance with the best international standards.
The project consists of two phases. The first phase, which costs BD10,571,533, extends from Saar junction to Jasra junction and includes laying main sewer pipelines with a total length of 3.89km with diameters ranging from 1,400mm to 1,600mm.
The second phase, which costs BD14,676,928, extends from Saar junction to the Tubli Wastewater Treatment Plant and includes laying main sewer pipelines with a total length of 4.74km with diameters ranging from 1,600mm to 1,800mm.
