Supreme Council for Health (SCH) chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday inaugurated the Critical, Emergency and Advance Nursing Conference.
It was organised by the Government Hospitals in co-operation with BDA and with the participation of leading nursing and healthcare specialists from Bahrain and abroad.
The two-day conference aims to highlight the latest scientific developments and innovative practices in critical and emergency care and advanced nursing, enhancing knowledge exchange among medical and nursing professionals and supporting the advancement of healthcare services in the kingdom.
The SCH chairman underscored that the conference provides an important scientific platform bringing together experts in fields closely linked to the quality of patient care. He commended the efforts of nursing staff in government hospitals and their vital role within the healthcare system, particularly in intensive care and emergency departments.
He noted that developing nursing skills in critical and emergency care is a key pillar in improving healthcare quality, reflecting Bahrain’s commitment to applying best international practices and continuously enhancing patient services.
Government Hospitals general head of Nursing Services for the Centres of Excellence Hanadi Ibrahim Aish said the conference aims to strengthen knowledge exchange and enhance nursing competencies in managing critical and emergency cases.
She added that the programme includes specialised lectures and workshops delivered by local and international experts, as well as discussions on the latest innovations in critical care technologies and rapid response methods, supporting ongoing efforts to develop nursing services in Government Hospitals.
