It was ‘dream come true’ for two Bahraini children battling serious illnesses when the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) organised special experiences for them as part of a collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE.

Ruqayyah Ashkanani, aged 14, enjoyed a day as an ‘Ambassador of Hope’, with a special ceremony, in co-operation with the British University of Bahrain.

The teenager, who is battling leukaemia, launched her personal initiative and spread her positive message of awareness and hope.
The event was attended by RHF secretary-general Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, university president Dr Ibrahim Janahi and guests.

Hamdan enjoys his dream-come-true
Three-year-old Hamdan Al Subaii, who has Type 1 diabetes, was granted his wish to create his own experiments as a young inventor. He enjoyed an engaging, imaginative experience that nurtured his curiosity and creativity.
Expressing the foundation’s pleasure on partnering with the UAE foundation, RHF social care director Hani Al Ansari said that the initiative was a way of providing hope to seriously ill children and affirmed plans to continue the programme.
