BAHRAIN’S position as a regional hub for innovation and investment was underscored as Tenmou, the kingdom’s first business angels company, successfully hosted the tenth edition of the Mena Angel Investors Summit 2025.
The prestigious summit was held under the patronage and in the presence of Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
The event brought together an influential group, attracting 50 investors, 20 start-ups, and more than 200 visitors from across the region and around the world, reinforcing its status as a key networking platform.
The summit featured an exceptional roster of prominent regional and international speakers who presented the latest global trends in angel investing and highlighted the vital role of venture capital in advancing innovation and supporting sustainable economic growth.
A notable speaker was Nezar Kadhem, founder and chief executive of Eat App, a successful hospitality technology company established in Bahrain. Eat App currently serves more than 5,000 restaurants in over 90 countries and has raised $17 million to date.
Also addressing the attendees was Sherif Abdelaty, co-founder and president of Gainz, a seasoned entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in building and exiting companies, who also mentors start-up founders.
The summit’s agenda included a series of insightful discussions and panel sessions focusing on effective ways to empower regional start-ups, enhance their market access, expand cross-border partnerships, and provide stronger support for promising early-stage companies.
The main panel gathered representatives from leading regional venture capital funds, including: Zainab Al Sharif, partner at +VC, who brings eight years of experience in early-stage financing and investment and Zade Al Borshaid, investment director at Antler MENAP.
The summit served as a crucial interactive platform uniting investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to exchange expertise, explore best practices for building a supportive start-up environment, and facilitate access to financing. It also highlighted the essential role of incubators and accelerators in enabling innovation and featured success stories supported by angel investment.
Tenmou chairman Suhail Algosaibi expressed his sincere appreciation to Mr Fakhro for his attendance and thanked all partners, supporters, and speakers for enriching the programme of the prominent regional event.
“Appreciation is extended to all participating start-ups and visitors whose engagement contributed to the success of this tenth edition,” Mr Algosaibi said.
“Tenmou will continue to advance the entrepreneurial ecosystem and strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for innovation and investment through programmes and initiatives designed to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs to move confidently towards regional and global markets,” he added.
