Ten MPs submitted a request for a general debate to discuss the challenges facing Bahraini jobseekers with regard to the suspension of the unemployment allowance despite the lack of suitable job opportunities.
The debate aims to evaluate the current mechanism for disbursing the allowance and the criteria for suspending it.
It also seeks to assess the availability and fairness of job opportunities offered to jobseekers, examine the social impact of suspending the allowance on families, and review possible alternatives to that.
