Bahrain yesterday reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation across public and private sectors.
Interior Minister and ministerial committee for information and communication technology chairman General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa also commended the levels of development and digital achievements attained by Bahrain and their role in supporting the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
The minister was speaking at a ceremony honouring the winners of the 13th edition of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2025.
The event coincided with the kingdom marking 30 years since the Internet became accessible to Bahrain’s public.
Thirteen private and public sector entities as well as three individuals walked away with awards for their innovative digital products.
Gen Shaikh Rashid, alongside Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) chief executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, presented the awards at the event, which took place at Exhibition World Bahrain.
