An annual inter-school competition organised by the American Mission Hospital (AMH) has concluded, with the Asian School Bahrain winning the overall championship and the ‘AMH Health is Wealth’ trophy for the second time.
Around 20 schools and 400 students took part in the three-day event, ‘Medathlon 2025’, held at the hospital’s auditorium in A’Ali.
Shura Council member Dr Jameela Al Salman was the guest of honour at the closing ceremony on Friday.
AMH corporate chief executive officer Dr George Cheriyan said the event would soon become a national-level competition with more schools taking part.
“We are happy to see the community embracing our hospital’s initiative of promoting health awareness and scientific knowledge among school children,” he said, appreciating Dr Babu Ramachandran and Dr Rama Krishna, the co-organisers and leaders of the event, for the exciting contests.
Quiz, short film, skit (Med Zap) and a debate, exclusively for teachers, were among the competitions held. The list of winners is available on www.amh.org.bh/medathlon
