Transportation and Telecommunications Minister and King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance board of trustees chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa attended celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the Church of Philadelphia in Bahrain.
Also present were centre deputy chairman Ali Al Aradi, members Ibrahim Nonoo, Dr Majid Al Asfoor, Dr Alsadig Khalafallah, and Shaikh Salah Yousif Al Jowder, alongside a number of church leaders and religious and community figures.
He congratulated the church leadership and members on the occasion, while church president Reverend Jacob Chandy expressed appreciation to Bahrain for providing a positive environment that promotes the values of tolerance, diversity, respect for freedom of belief and the practice of religious rituals.
