His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, deputised Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to attend a reception hosted by the UAE Embassy in Bahrain, marking the 54th National Day of the UAE.
Shaikh Khalid conveyed the greetings of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to his UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also extended best wishes to the UAE and its people for continued success and prosperity.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that Bahrain’s celebration of this occasion highlights the longstanding ties between the two countries, built by previous generations and maintained through ongoing co-operation. He noted that these ties continue to strengthen as both nations advance in partnership and integration, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted the advanced level reached by Bahrain-UAE relations, which have evolved into a strategic partnership with multiple dimensions reflecting the shared vision of the leadership of both countries.
Regarding this year’s National Day, held under the theme “United”, Shaikh Khalid explained that the celebration conveys a message beyond the occasion itself, reflecting the values of solidarity and cohesion that have underpinned the UAE’s journey culminating in a comprehensive development that has reinforced the country’s prominent regional and international standing.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked UAE Ambassador Fahad Mohammed Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri for his efforts in enhancing communication and supporting initiatives that strengthen the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the UAE.
l Capital Governor Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa and Mr Al Ameri attended the launch of the traditional boats event “Al Bawanesh” in Bahrain Bay to celebrate the UAE National Day.
Shaikh Khaled emphasised that Bahraini-Emirati ties are a model of deep-rooted ties, built on a long history of co-operation, understanding, and shared positions.
The Governor praised the UAE’s pioneering development achievements, which have enhanced its regional and international presence, and noted that the country’s continuous progress reflects a commitment to innovation and leadership.
