His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today attended the Combined Command Post Opening Ceremony at Ras Al Bar Camp, held under His patronage.
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and His Highness Lieutenant Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, were also in attendance.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF), and Charles Bradford Cooper II, Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

The Post is established and inaugurated as a result of the solid partnership between the Bahrain Defence Force and the United States Central Command.
During the ceremony, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the longstanding Bahrain–US relations, which are underpinned by a deep-rooted partnership and reinforced through joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
His Royal Highness underscored the importance of further bolstering the bilateral partnership across various sectors, particularly within the military and defence fields, to advance shared aspirations.

His Royal Highness was briefed on the Combined Command Post’s tasks, operating mechanisms, and its role in enhancing regional security through bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States.
His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude for the combined efforts that led to the establishment of the Post. His Royal Highness wished all those attached to the post success in carrying out their duties in safeguarding the security and stability of the Kingdom and the wider region.
His Royal Highness emphasised the shared aspiration of the Kingdom and the United States to advance bilateral ties, stressing the significant role of the United States’ and its allies, in safeguarding regional and global security and stability, as well as in supporting development efforts.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, Elizabeth Litchfield, Chargé d’Affaires at the United States Embassy to the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with several senior officers from the BDF and the United States Central Command, were also in attendance.
