Registration is now open to students for the annual Faber-Castell Spectra art competition, set to take place on Friday.
The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) is organising the event – now in its 17th edition – at the Isa Town premises of the Indian School Bahrain.
The art and painting competition serves as a platform to build bridges between cultures through art and encourages young artistic talent.
Students from schools across the kingdom take part in the competition, to foster creativity and celebrate artistic skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
“This is the 17th year of successfully conducting Faber Castell Spectra, an annual art carnival which is the largest art competition for students in Bahrain,” organisers added.
The ICRF’s Spectra team held a meeting with almost 40 co-ordinators from 25 schools recently.
The competition will be conducted across four age categories – five to eight, eight to 11, 12 to 14, and 15 to 18.
Registration can be done through participating schools and institutions.
In addition, there is an adults category, registration for which can be done online.
All participants will receive free drawing materials.
The top five winners in each category will be awarded trophies and certificates and the top 50 from each group will receive medals. Every participant will be presented with a certificate of participation.
The winning artworks, along with other outstanding creations, will be featured in the 2026 ICRF wall and desk calendars, to be launched by the end of the month.
The calendars will be made available to the corporates, banks, insurance companies, educational institutions, clubs, associations and businesses that are supporting the competition.
ICRF, established in 1999, is a non-government, non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of Indian workers in Bahrain and has now been registered with the Social Development Ministry.
