His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Professor Marike Paulsson, Secretary General for the Council for International Dispute Resolution of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, HRH was presented with a book from Professor Paulsson tracing the development of Bahrain’s legal framework and documenting key milestones in advancing justice. The book also highlights the measures taken by Bahrain to strengthen the rule of law, uphold justice, and protect rights and freedoms, in line with comprehensive development goals.
HRH emphasised the Kingdom’s robust legislative and judicial framework, which keeps pace with evolving needs and reflects the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH commended the outcomes following the King Hamad Lecture for Neutral Justice, noting that it represents the strengthening of ongoing efforts aimed at advancing the commercial justice system regionally and internationally.
HRH also noted that those outcomes further the development of Bahrain's commercial justice ecosystem, enhance legal partnerships with countries and international institutions, and contribute to encouraging trade, investment, and economic growth.
HRH affirmed that the Bahrain International Commercial Court is a strong example of Bahrain’s advanced legislative system, given its pivotal role in supporting Bahrain’s commercial and investment environment through resolving commercial disputes in accordance with international best practices.
For her part, Professor Paulsson expressed her appreciation for HRH’ continued support for initiatives that enhance Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for commercial justice and global legal cooperation.
