The Interior Ministry has arrested 15 people of various nationalities for allegedly attempting to smuggle 29kg of narcotics, valued at an estimated BD135,000, into the kingdom.
The arrests were made in co-operation with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, Customs Affairs and the Air Cargo Department, according to a statement.
Information was received by the authorities and investigations led to the identification of the suspects, aged between 21 and 33.
The drugs have been confiscated and the case referred to the Public Prosecution.
