BAHRAIN pauses today to honour the dedication, professionalism and sacrifice of its police force, who stand at the forefront of safeguarding national security and public safety.
This occasion reflects a proud history of law enforcement rooted in service to the nation and loyalty to its leadership, while also highlighting the continued evolution of policing in line with modern standards and community partnership.
Bahrain Police Day, marked on December 14 every year, is not only a moment of recognition for those who wear the uniform, but also an affirmation of Bahrain’s commitment to the rule of law, the protection of rights and freedoms, and the preservation of stability that underpins the kingdom’s social and economic development.
It is an occasion to recall with pride and appreciation the march of security and stability spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
A report issued on this occasion stated that the crime rate in Bahrain has declined to unprecedented levels, providing the strongest on-the-ground evidence that the kingdom’s security and stability framework continues to grow more robust under the implementation of the security strategy launched by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
The strategy is founded on community partnership as a core approach and places community security at the forefront.
The report highlighted the statistics and achievements recorded in 2025.
Ministers, Parliament and Shura Council chiefs and senior officials commended the achievements of policemen.
Foreign Minister and National Human Rights Committee chairman Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani described the force as ‘a shining example of loyalty and dedication’.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh highlighted the professional commitment shown by police officers and wished them well.
