The Bahrain Tender Board organised an introductory workshop for spending entities on the roles and responsibilities of tender, auction, procurement, and internal sales committees.
The workshop was attended by 95 chairpersons and members representing more than 50 ministries, authorities, and government companies subject to the Government Tenders, Auctions, Procurement, and Sales Law.
The workshop aimed to enhance awareness of committee responsibilities and strengthen technical and procedural readiness, as part of the board’s ongoing programmes to improve the efficiency of the government procurement system.
Tender Board secretary general Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi said the workshop forms part of the board’s efforts to raise compliance with the law and promote best practices in managing government purchasing
and sales processes, ensuring transparency and integrity.
