Russia will respond appropriately if the United States resumes nuclear testing, the Interfax news agency cited Valery Gerasimov, chief of the general staff of Russia’s armed forces, as saying yesterday.
“If these tests are resumed by the American side, appropriate countermeasures will follow,” Gerasimov said.
