The Southern Governorate yesterday honoured entities supporting its 2025 programmes and initiatives in a ceremony held under the patronage of Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa.
It was attended by Deputy Governor Colonel Hamad Al Khayyat, and senior representatives from government bodies, civil society, banks and private institutions, at the Police Officers’ Club.
Shaikh Khalifa said the ceremony was held to honour leading sponsors and contributors whose efforts were key to achievements in the security, development and social domains.
He commended the initiatives that met citizens’ needs across different areas and emphasised that the successful contributions of supporting entities positively highlighted the impact of joint co-operation throughout the year and strengthened community and developmental partnerships.
He also noted the governorate’s role in providing high-quality services, highlighting its accreditation as a Healthy Governorate, a significant milestone in the region’s development.
