His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the pivotal role of the communications and information technology sector in supporting development efforts and advancing economic growth.
He affirmed Bahrain’s efforts to utilise modern technologies to enhance the competitiveness of this vital sector.
HRH Prince Salman said that Bahrain’s strong relations with Saudi Arabia are continuing to grow from strength to strength, when he met Saudi Telecom Company (stc) board of directors chairman Prince Mohammed bin Khaled bin Al Abdullah Al Faisal at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
He affirmed the depth of these ties that enjoy unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
HRH Prince Salman reiterated the shared commitment between the two countries to continue developing co-operation through several agreements under the framework of the Bahraini-Saudi Co-ordination Council.
The historic relations also reflect the ongoing support of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in advancing them, he said.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening its competitiveness and fostering an attractive environment, supported by targeted measures to achieve its objectives.
He noted the strong Bahrain-Saudi partnership, particularly in communications and information technology.
Prince Mohammed expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to enhancing co-operation across multiple sectors. He wished Bahrain continued prosperity.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
