Bahrain yesterday welcomed the agreement signed in Muscat on the exchange of prisoners and detainees in Yemen, under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The agreement was mediated by Oman in co-operation with Saudi Arabia.
The kingdom considers this agreement a positive step towards alleviating the humanitarian situation and advancing efforts to achieve a comprehensive and peaceful settlement in Yemen, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry.
It reiterated Bahrain’s firm support for all international and regional efforts aimed at reaching a lasting political solution in Yemen.
