Bapco Refining, a subsidiary of Bapco Energies, has been recognised for its exemplary commitment to workplace safety with two major international awards from the British Safety Council (BSC).
The company received the ‘Five Star Award for Occupational Health and Safety’ and the coveted ‘Sword of Honour’ award, marking Bapco Refining the first company in the kingdom to achieve both distinctions, reflecting its dedication to the highest standards of health and safety.
The awards follow a comprehensive audit conducted by the British Safety Council, which assessed Bapco Refining’s health and safety management systems against international best practices.
The audit reviewed all aspects of the company’s operational practices to safeguarding the health and wellbeing at its facilities.
In addition, the Bapco Modernisation Programme (BMP) also underwent a thorough audit and was granted the prestigious Five Star Award. The British Safety Council confirmed that BMP is the only major project in the region to receive this level of recognition, further highlighting Bapco Energies leadership in safety management.
