Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday received an invitation from Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Shaikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah to visit his country.
The invitation was delivered by Kuwait’s Coastguard Commodore director-general Shaikh Mubarak Ali Al Sabah.
Lieutenant General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was present.
Gen Shaikh Rashid commended the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
He also highlighted the importance of security co-ordination, as well as strengthening the exchange of expertise and best practices to safeguard security and enhance stability.
The minister also emphasised the importance of reinforcing joint efforts between the coastguard entities of the two countries to enhance security and protect maritime safety.
Several issues and approaches to enhancing co-operation and the development of joint working mechanisms were also discussed during the meeting.
