Twelve individuals of different nationalities have been arrested on separate drug-related charges as part of an ongoing crackdown by authorities.
The suspects, aged between 23 and 49, were apprehended for possessing approximately 17kg of narcotic substances, with an estimated street value exceeding BD227,000, according to the Interior Ministry’s Anti-Narcotics Directorate.
The directorate stated that investigations were launched following intelligence reports, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects in possession of the drugs.
Legal procedures have been initiated and the cases have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
