A 32-year-old foreign national was arrested at Bahrain International Airport after being found in possession of more than three kilograms of cocaine.
The narcotics, with an estimated street value of BD400,000, were seized upon his arrival on a visit visa, the Interior Ministry announced.
The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science confirmed that the arrest followed an investigation based on prior intelligence. The suspect was identified and apprehended during the operation, and the drugs were confiscated.
Authorities stated that all legal procedures have been completed, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
