MOTOCROSS – BAHRAIN’S talented riders claimed two victories in class while securing another podium in the season-opening round of the Juniors Motocross Championship, held as part of the Kuwait Motor Town Championship (KMTC) in Kuwait City.
Bahraini youngsters Abdallah Hassan Nooraldeen and Mohammad Nooraldeen were both triumphant in the series’ 85cc and 65cc categories, respectively, while Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa climbed the podium for second place in the 125cc class.
Abdallah took first in his division after scoring a maximum 50 points in the meeting with first place in the event’s two races. He was joined on the overall podium by Bader Al Hallaq with 44 points and Faisal Al Hallaq with 38.
Mohammad also enjoyed a double victory in the 65ccc category to finish the round with 50 points as the overall winner. Bader Haider was the runner-up with 44 and Mohammad Meshari came third on 40.
In the 125cc class, Shaikh Khalifa finished second in both races to score 44 points for the meeting. Hamad Jaffar was the winner with 50 points, while Saud Jaffar came third on 40 markers.
Meanwhile, in the KMTC’s Motocross Championship for seniors, Bahrain’s Hassan Ahmed Nooraldeen claimed third place in the MX2 class. Riding his Yamaha YZF 2023 motorbike, he finished second in heat one and third in heat two to finish the round with 42 points.
Yousef Meshari on a Yamaha was the MX2 victor with 47 points, while Hamad Mohammed Jaffar on a KTM finished second with 45 markers.
Action in both the KMTC’s juniors and seniors championships continue on January 16 and 17. Each series consists of four rounds apiece, to be held until March.
They are being held as part of the wider KMTC, which features eight motorsport categories all together. The six others are a touring car championship, a superbike series, a Mini GP motorbike series, karting, drifting, and roll racing.
