Bahrain continues to strengthen its position as a leading regional destination for culture, arts and creativity, supported by its advanced infrastructure, dynamic cultural environment and clear vision that has enabled it to attract major artistic events and enhance its presence on the regional and international cultural map, Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi has said.
These remarks were made during a Press conference held on the occasion of Bahrain hosting next week the internationally renowned theatrical production Wicked The Musical, one of the world’s most prominent stage productions, to be presented for the first time in the Middle East.
Dr Al Nuaimi noted that hosting this production represents a significant cultural milestone reflecting Bahrain’s ability to attract and host leading global productions.
He said that culture and the arts are fundamental to building societal awareness and fostering dialogue with people worldwide.
This, he noted, reflects the kingdom’s support for meaningful productions and high-quality artistic works as well as an integrated environment that embraces creativity and cultural diversity.
The minister further highlighted that the event is the result of effective co-operation between the public and private sectors, representing a successful partnership model that ensured the production was hosted in line with the highest artistic and organisational standards, while supporting the development of creative and cultural industries.
