This year’s edition of ‘Hawa Al Manama’ is witnessing a strong turnout with attendance this week exceeding more than double the number of visitors during the first edition last year, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) chief executive officer Sara Buhiji said.
This reflects the growing interest in the event among citizens, residents, and visitors, as well as the diverse cultural and tourism experiences it offers, she noted, pointing out that the expansion of the event’s area has attracted more participants to it.
The event will continue until January 15, reviving features of daily life in the old suq and shedding light on the social and cultural transformations Manama experienced during an important period of its history.
