His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Dr Bastian Giegerich, Director General and Chief Executive of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), at Riffa Palace.
HRH affirmed the important role of research and strategic studies in international affairs, and their contribution to supporting international security and stability. HRH highlighted the role of such research in aligning perspectives and developing solutions to shared global challenges through conferences and forums, which enhances regional and international development and prosperity.
HRH stressed Bahrain’s continued commitment to strengthening the Manama Dialogue as a leading diplomatic platform for dialogue on regional and international issues.
HRH highlighted the strong partnership between the Kingdom and the IISS, which has advanced the Manama Dialogue’s regional and international standing as one of the world’s leading forums addressing security, political, and economic challenges, with broad global participation.
Dr Giegerich expressed his gratitude to HRH for his unwavering support in strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and IISS, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
The Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
