His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) director general and chief executive officer Dr Bastian Giegerich, at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the important role of research and strategic studies in international affairs, and their contribution to supporting international security and stability.
He highlighted the role of such research in aligning perspectives and developing solutions to shared global challenges through conferences and forums, which enhances regional and international development and prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman stressed Bahrain’s continued commitment to strengthening the Manama Dialogue as a leading diplomatic platform for dialogue on regional and international issues.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strong partnership between the kingdom and the IISS, which has advanced the Manama Dialogue’s regional and international standing as one of the world’s leading forums addressing security, political and economic challenges, with broad global participation.
Dr Giegerich expressed his gratitude to HRH Prince Salman for his unwavering support in strengthening co-operation between Bahrain and IISS.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
