Tourism Minister Fatima Al Sairafi visited the Bahrain Farmers’ Market at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel.
The event is held annually over six weeks and offers a comprehensive experience, including fresh seasonal products, handicrafts, and interactive recreational activities suitable for all family members in an outdoor setting, in addition to the traditional Bahraini breakfast experience.
Ms Al Sairafi affirmed that the market enriches the tourism experience and enhances the kingdom’s appeal as a unique destination by offering an authentic experience reflecting Bahraini identity and cultural traditions.
She explained that the farmers’ market at the hotel represents a notable model for supporting local farmers and entrepreneurs, showcasing the ability of local products to meet the tourism sector’s needs. She emphasised that adopting similar initiatives within the hotel sector contributes to supporting the local economy and promoting sustainable tourism.
The minister added that the market provides an interactive space connecting visitors with farmers, allowing them to learn firsthand about Bahraini crops and their quality, thereby offering a tourism experience based on local ingredients and linked to Bahraini culture.
The Bahrain Farmers’ Market at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel will continue to receive visitors until February 13, held weekly every Friday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
