We packed our toddler’s bike into the back of the car and headed up to the Busaiteen Seafront in Muharraq for a bit of a leg-stretch. Honestly, it’s a cracking spot.
The promenade stretches for a good 2.5km, which is exactly what you need when you’ve got a small child on wheels; she could zoom ahead without us constantly panicking about her swerving into the road or a crowd.

The play park was the first port of call, and she absolutely loved it. While she was busy there, we had a go on the outdoor gym equipment nearby. It’s definitely seen better days, but it’s actually quite a laugh to use while looking out over the water.
There’s a real buzz about the place too. The land right next to the walkway was full of life, with people playing cricket and all sorts of sports going on. It makes the whole walk feel much more energetic than just a quiet stroll.

Once the sun starts to go down, the view across the water to the Manama skyline is genuinely stunning.

We didn’t pack a picnic, but it didn’t matter because there were a myriad of food trucks just a stone’s throw away. We ended up grabbing a couple of shawarmas on the way back to the car, which was the perfect low-effort dinner.
It’s easily one of the best spots in Bahrain for a proper family day out that doesn’t break the bank.
