Seven individuals, including three women of different nationalities, have been arrested in separate cases for possessing narcotic substances.
Approximately 10kg of drugs valued at more than BD160,000 have been seized from them, the Interior Ministry announced.
According to the Anti-Narcotics Directorate under the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, the arrests were made in co-operation with Customs Affairs.
Upon receiving information related to the cases, search and investigation operations were launched.
These efforts led to the identification of the suspects, who were subsequently apprehended in possession of the illegal substances.
Officials confirmed that the necessary legal procedures were completed and the cases have now been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
