Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, witnessed the graduation of 878 new police officers, representing several cohorts, alongside the seventh cohort of the Community Police, in the presence of senior officers and officials from the Ministry of Interior.
Lt-Gen Al Hassan highlighted that the achievements of the Bahrain Police reflect the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for all efforts aimed at maintaining security and enhancing stability.
He noted that the Ministry of Interior continues to advance modernisation and development across all sectors under the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to ensure the highest levels of readiness and efficiency. This includes implementing development plans to strengthen security, improve policing systems, promote community partnerships, and enhance engagement with the public.
Lt-Gen Al Hassan commended the Royal Academy of Police for its comprehensive training programmes, designed to build skills in line with international standards and modern policing practices. He noted that the 878 graduates completed programmes addressing contemporary challenges, adopting advanced systems to combat organised crime, and ensuring strict adherence to police procedures. He also highlighted the Labour Fund (Tamkeen)’s role in developing national talent and equipping cadres to perform their duties efficiently and professionally.
He emphasised that the training prepares graduates to carry out their duties at the highest professional standards, uphold the law, project a civilised image, and foster trust between the police and the community.
Meanwhile, Major-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Commandant of the Royal Academy of Police, said the graduates received both academic instruction and practical training, including field exercises, computer skills, and public engagement techniques, ensuring they are fully prepared. He added that the graduation of the seventh Community Police cohort marks a key step in strengthening community partnerships and building trust with citizens and residents.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Chief of Police honoured the top graduates and congratulated all new officers for completing their training at the highest professional standards, praising their contributions to security and wishing them success in serving the nation.
