His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the developments being made in the kingdom’s equestrian sector, which continues to go from strength to strength with the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad.
He made the statement last night as he attended the final day of the Crown Prince’s Cup Festival at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir.
He recognised the efforts made by the national workforce to effectively implement the strategic plans and programmes to develop the horseracing industry, which has contributed to achieving the kingdom’s goals within the sector.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing the equestrian sector’s competitiveness, in order to consolidate its position as one of the leading regional and global destinations in hosting and organising prestigious horse races.
“Horseracing is deeply rooted in Bahrain’s identity,” he said, outlining the kingdom’s commitment to preserving its heritage, and showcasing it on the international stage.
He expressed his pride in the efforts of the REHC High Committee, under the leadership of Prime Minister’s Court Minister and committee chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HRH Prince Salman congratulated the winners of various races and expressed his best wishes to all participants.
