Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak yesterday met Southern Municipal Council chairman Abdulla Ibrahim Abdulatif and council members to discuss municipal and service projects in the governorate.
The meeting reviewed projects under the 2026 plan, including Al Maraqeeb Park, Riffa Walkway, the Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Street-Zallaq Street junction and the Cities and Villages Development Project.
The minister highlighted the commitment to continuing municipal projects to support urban development and service improvement, commending the council’s co-operation.
Southern Municipal Council members welcomed the ministry’s support and emphasised the importance of further co-ordination to enhance municipal services.
