His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met Kuwait’s Crown Prince Shaikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah.
The meeting took place as part of HRH Prince Salman’s official visit to Kuwait.
HRH underscored the strength of Bahrain–Kuwait relations and the expanding scope of co-operation, with the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad and Kuwait’s Amir Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
He conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to the Crown Prince of Kuwait and wished his country further progress and prosperity.
In turn, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince extended his greetings to His Majesty and wished the Kingdom continued prosperity and growth.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasised the shared commitment to deepening co-operation across all sectors - particularly across the economic and investment fields - working towards achieving mutual aspirations and advancing sustainable growth and prosperity for both countries and their peoples.
While both countries also reaffirmed efforts to advancing the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), in line with the visions and aspirations of the leaders of the GCC countries.In this regard, HRH Prince Salman reiterated Bahrain’s commitment, within the framework of the 46th GCC Summit, chaired by Bahrain, to strengthening integration and cooperation among countries and to promote shared objectives and common interests of the GCC countries.
His Royal Highness commended Kuwait’s role in supporting and advancing bilateral relations, and its steadfast support for Bahrain, emphasising a commitment to further cooperation in pursuit of shared interests and common goals.
The meeting also reviewed bilateral topics of common interest.
For his part, the Crown Prince of Kuwait welcomed HRH Prince Salman’s official visit to Kuwait, noting that it reflects the depth and strength of relations between both countries.
A lunch banquet was then held by HH the Crown Prince of Kuwait, in honour of His Royal Highness’s official visit to Kuwait. His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, and several senior Kuwaiti officials also attended the banquet.
