A traffic awareness platform was set up at Marassi Galleria Mall to help road users familiarise themselves with the new traffic systems and the mechanisms used to detect violations.
It was organised by the General Directorate of Traffic in co-ordination with the Information and eGovernment Authority.
Officials conducted a variety of educational programmes focusing on the new traffic cameras, along with an introduction to the traffic services provided by the directorate and guidance on how to benefit from them.
The authority confirmed that it will intensify its awareness efforts in the coming period and urged citizens and residents to update their contact details through the eTraffic and MyGov applications to ensure they receive alerts and notifications directly.
