A 39-year-old man, described as Asian by the authorities, has been arrested for allegedly attempting to defraud several gold shops by selling counterfeit gold bars, the Interior Ministry announced on X.
The Capital Governorate Police Directorate carried out an investigation into the allegations, leading to his arrest, the statement read. Legal measures are being taken, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
