A flagship knowledge event designed to celebrate India’s rich history, culture, governance, science and global contributions will be held on April 17.
The Grandmaster India Quiz, organised by the Kerala Catholic Association (KCA), will include participation from students, professionals and families across Bahrain’s Indian community.
It will be divided into two categories – Grandmaster Juniors for participants under the age of 18, and Grandmaster Seniors for those over 18.
Including teams of three participants each, the quiz will focus on India-related topics, covering history, geography, governance, culture, science, sports and contemporary developments.
Around 10 per cent of the questions will also be related to Bahrain.
Led by two highly respected quiz masters Dr Raju Narayanaswamy and Aruldas Thomas, the event will begin with a written preliminary round of 30 questions, followed by final stage rounds, with the top six teams from each category qualifying for the finals.
The winners of each categories will receive a prize of $500, while the teams that placed second and third will take home $300 and $200 respectively.
