Students from Almarifa Secondary Girls School have successfully completed a field training programme organised by the Education Ministry, enhancing their skills in medical equipment maintenance.
Fajr Abdulrahman, Shouq Isa, Malak Ali, and Nouf Hamdan participated in the Takween field training programme for technical and vocational secondary students, undertaking their practical training at Behzad Medical.
The students carried out a range of tasks that demanded precision, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
They applied what they had learned in their school curriculum in a real-world setting, under the supervision of the institution’s specialists, who praised their work and the enthusiasm they demonstrated.
Specialists at the institution highlighted that the programme helped the students gain familiarity with a diverse array of medical devices, mechanical systems and digital software. They learned to operate, maintain, diagnose and repair equipment – such as electrocardiogram (ECG) machines – with improved efficiency and confidence.
Takween is implemented by the ministry in co-operation with a group of public and private institutions as part of efforts to enhance the quality of outcomes in government schools and ensure they align more closely with labour market needs.
