Advanced radiology and imaging services have been officially introduced at one of Bahrain’s leading hospitals through a new strategic partnership between Al Hilal Healthcare Group and Fujifilm Middle East FZE.
The collaboration brings cutting-edge diagnostic capabilities to the group’s 10th branch, Al Hilal Premier Hospital, Segaiya, marking Fujifilm’s first comprehensive association with Al Hilal in the kingdom.
Under the agreement, the hospital will be equipped with Fujifilm’s state-of-the-art medical imaging portfolio, including a first-in-GCC AI-powered MRI system, advanced CT imaging technology, a high-end digital X-ray system and a mobile X-ray unit.
These solutions are expected to enhance diagnostic precision, streamline clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes.
The agreement was signed at World Health Expo Dubai 2026 in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations. Representatives from Al Hilal Healthcare Group included managing director Abdul Latheef Uppala, chief executive Dr Sharath Chandran, executive directors Moiden Bilal and Firasath Hassan and finance manager Sahal Jamaludheen.
Fujifilm Middle East and Africa medical division general manager Atsushi Tateishi and modality solutions division manager Mohamed Sokrab, along with members of its Medical Systems Division leadership team, were present at the signing ceremony.
Mr Uppala said the partnership with Fujiflm, a long-standing pioneer in imaging technology, reinforces the group’s commitment to introducing advanced solutions that elevate patient care in Bahrain.
Dr Chandran noted that Al Hilal Healthcare Group has consistently led the way in adopting technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
“In a world that is rapidly advancing in technology, embracing AI to deliver better clinical outcomes has always been central to our strategy,” he added.
Mr Tateishi said the installation of the latest MRI, CT and digital X-ray systems underscores a shared commitment to clinical excellence and innovation.
“We are proud to expand our partnership with Badr Al Samaa Group through the deployment of advanced radiology solutions at Al Hilal Premier Hospital, Bahrain,” he added.
Mr Sokrab thanked Al Hilal Premier Hospital Bahrain, part of the Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, for selecting the flagship Echelon Synergy 1.5T MRI and Supria Whole-Body CT systems.
“These AI-enabled, ultra-low-dose imaging solutions enhance clinical accuracy, workflow efficiency, and patient safety.”
