National talent remains the cornerstone of success at Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), where Bahrainis now make up more than 82 per cent of the workforce, according to chairman Nabeel Kanoo.
Mr Kanoo said investing in Bahraini professionals would continue to be the company’s top strategic priority, stressing that local competencies are the foundation of excellence and growth in the aviation sector in Bahrain.
In remarks to Akhbar Al Khaleej on the sidelines of the BAS Excellence Forum, he highlighted the role of distinguished employees in delivering national initiatives and strategic projects over the past year.
“Human capital is our greatest asset,” he said, noting that recognising outstanding staff and encouraging innovation strengthens institutional loyalty and fosters a culture of achievement.
He added that digital transformation represents a key pillar of BAS’s future, pointing to the company’s receiving the 2025 e-Government Excellence Award for its “Munawla” ground-handling management system.
