Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro yesterday conducted field visits to a number of markets, retail outlets and hypermarkets to monitor the availability of consumer goods and ensure price stability during the holy month of Ramadan.
The visits included Sultan Mall, Al Helli Supermarket, Danube, LuLu Hypermarket, HyperMax, Al Osra Supermarket and Al Sater Market. The minister reviewed supply levels and met market officials to discuss stock movement and expected demand in the period ahead.
Mr Fakhro said the ministry places priority on maintaining market stability and preparedness during peak seasons. He noted that the visits form part of ongoing efforts to ensure the availability of essential food items and Ramadan products in sufficient quantities and at stable prices, in order to protect consumers and maintain market balance.
