A 34-year-old man has been arrested for sharing fabricated videos on social media, the Interior Ministry announced on X.
The suspect filmed footage at multiple locations across the kingdom and manipulated the content to falsely depict widespread property damage to homes, claiming it resulted from retaliatory Iranian attacks.
The misleading videos were circulated following drone strikes that began on Saturday after US and Israeli forces bombed a school in Tehran.
Legal procedures have been initiated, and the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate is in the process of referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
