The National Communication Centre announced that a limited fire broke out at a unit of the Bapco Energies refinery yesterday following an Iranian missile strike.
The blaze was swiftly contained, no injuries were reported, and refinery operations continued without interruption.
An assessment of the damage is currently underway.
The Interior Ministry stated that the fire, ‘which erupted in one of the facilities in Ma’ameer targeted by the Iranian aggression, has been brought under control’. It added on X that ‘only limited material damage was recorded, with no loss of life’.
