His Majesty King Hamad ratified and issued Law (10) of 2026 approving the agreement between Bahrain and the International Date Council on the establishment of the headquarters of the International Dates Observatory in the kingdom, following its approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
The agreement between Bahrain and the International Date Council was signed in Bahrain on September 22, 2025.
The Prime Minister and the ministers, each within their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this law, which shall come into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
His Majesty also ratified and issued Law (9) of 2026, mending some provisions of Decree-Law (20) of 2002 on the regulation of fishing, utilisation, and protection of marine resources, following its approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
The Prime Minister and the ministers, each within their capacity, shall implement the provisions of the law, which shall come into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
